Debt owed by Polish construction firms rises

Debt owed by firms in the Polish construction sector has shot up, according to Polish Radio.

Almost 32,000 building firms have problems with paying what they owe. Their combined debt totals over PLN 4 billion, Polish Radio reported.
Many such companies owe money both to each other and to banks, officials from the Polish Association of Construction Employers have said.
Debt in the construction sector was last year PLN 500 million higher than in 2016, despite a higher number of orders, Polish Radio reported.
