The annual growth in funds forked out by Polish consumers on luxury jewellery, watches and alcohol is expected to stand at 11 percent over the next three years, according to the Rzeczpospolita daily.

One of the most dynamically expanding segments in the luxury goods sector in Poland is high-end jewellery adorned with diamonds and gems. The Polish market is drawing an increasing number of producers from abroad.

The value of goods exported by Italian jewellery brands to Poland grew 15 percent in 2016, reaching EUR 44 million (PLN 183 million), according to the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS).

Cosmetics and alcohol, particularly wine, champagne, cognac and brandy, have also seen dynamic growth in recent years, Rzeczpospolita reported.

Well-off Poles are also increasingly opting for spas and luxury hotels. (aba/vb/pk)
