Polish inflation at 1.6% in April: stats office

Inflation in Poland grew to 1.6% year-on-year in April from 1.3% in March, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Tuesday.

Inflation in February stood at 1.4% in year-on-year terms, according to the office.
Inflation in April was driven by growing costs of transport, clothing, footwear and food, the statistics office said, as quoted by Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.
