The reading confirmed an earlier estimate by the country’s labour ministry, which said that Poland’s jobless rate fell to 6.3 percent in April, the lowest level for that month since 1991.

There were 1,042,500 people registered as jobless in employment offices nationwide in April, down from 1,092,200 in March, according to the Central Statistical Office.

The office last week reported that the number of people working in Polish companies in April was 3.7 percent up on the same month last year.
