Unemployment inched down 0.2 percentage points from 6.3 percent in May, Labour Minister Elżbieta Rafalska said.

Compared to May 2017, last month's unemployment rate was 1.2 percentage points lower.

“I think that in June there will be fewer than one million registered unemployed people. The number of unemployed has fallen by 560,000 since the Law and Justice party came to government” in late 2015, Rafalska added.

Meanwhile, employers and recruiters have more than 140,000 positions vacant. (vb/pk)
