Retail sales up 10.3% in Poland in June: stats office

Retail sales in Poland rose 10.3 percent in June compared with the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.

Sales of fuels climbed 20.3 percent in year-on-year terms, while sales of clothing and shoes rose 12.2 percent.
Sales of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics increased by 10.8 percent.
When expressed in constant prices, retail sales in June were 8.2 percent higher than in the same month last year, according to the statistics office.
In month-on-month terms, retail sales in June were 3.4 percent higher than in May, the Central Statistical Office reported.
