Jerzy Kwieciński told reporters: "The data we are already receiving indicates that growth [from April to June] will be close to that of the first quarter, in other words more than 5 percent."

According to Poland’s Central Statistical Office, the country’s GDP grew 4.9 percent in the final quarter of 2017 and expanded 4.6 percent in 2017 as a whole.

Kwieciński said in June he expected the Polish economy to grow over 4.0 percent this year.
