Poland’s unemployment rate was 5.9 percent in July, unchanged from June, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.

The reading confirmed an earlier estimate by the country’s labour ministry, which said that unemployment in Poland stood at 5.9 percent in July, the same level as in June.
Unemployment in June was the lowest in 28 years, Labour Minister Elżbieta Rafalska said last month.
There were 961,800 people registered as jobless in employment offices nationwide in July, down from 967,900 in June, according to the Central Statistical Office.
