The flights will take place every day except Tuesday and Saturday, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.

The agency cited Piotr Jankowski, a spokesman for Lublin airport, as saying that the connection was aimed at transit passengers.

The new flights will allow travellers to access international connections to the United States, Canada and Western Europe.

Transfers in Warsaw will take no longer than an hour, IAR added.

The first of the new flights from Lublin will take off on Monday afternoon.
