According to 69 percent of the respondents in Poland, their country’s economy is in good shape, Money.pl reported, citing the research.

In a similar study run in 2009 -- at the height of the global economic slowdown -- positivity was shared by no more than 29 percent, growing 40 percentage points in less than a decade.

Only Germans superseded Poles in their positive outlook as 78 percent said the national economic situation was good.

They were not, however, as optimistic about their economy’s prospects as only 37 percent said the future looked bright, according to the global survey.

Meanwhile, in 18 out of 27 countries surveyed, pessimism is widespread, Money.pl said. As many as 80 percent of the French, 76 percent of the Japanese and 72 percent of Spaniards said their children would be financially worse off compared to themselves when they grow up.
