Wages, employment up y/y in Poland in September: stats office

Average wages in Poland rose 6.7 percent in September compared with the same month last year, the country’s Central Statistical Office said on Tuesday.

The average Polish monthly wage in September was PLN 4,771.86 (EUR 1,111, USD 1,289), the office reported.
Meanwhile, employment in Polish companies increased 3.2 percent last month in year-on-year terms, according to the statistical office.
The figures are for firms with more than nine employees.
The Polish economy grew 5.1 percent in the second quarter of this year, according to the Central Statistical Office.
