Polish unemployment steady at 5.7% in November: stats office

Unemployment in Poland held steady at 5.7 percent in November, unchanged from the previous two months, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Friday.

The reading was a notch lower than an earlier estimate by the country’s labour minister.
There were around 950,500 people registered as jobless nationwide in November, up from 937,300 in October, according to the Central Statistical Office.
The office reported in October that Poland’s unemployment rate fell to a new 28-year low of 5.7 percent in September, from 5.8 percent in August.
