Poland’s PGNiG supports start-ups

Polish state-run gas giant PGNiG has launched a new programme to support start-ups, the PAP news agency has reported.

The initiative, dubbed Poland Prize, aims to support foreign start-ups to allow them to easily enter the Polish market.
PGNiG estimates that the project will cost around PLN 5 million (EUR 1.15 million).
Eight start-ups from the UK, Italy, Estonia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus and Hungary have already started working with PGNiG, while 16 others are expected to join the programme at a later date, PAP reported.
Entrepreneurship and Technology Minister Jadwia Emilewicz said that “Poland needs ambitious start-ups, now more than ever.”
