A co-financing agreement was on Wednesday expected to be signed for the project in the Baltic port city of Świnoujście.

Top Polish officials including President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki were scheduled to attend the signing.

The terminal's operator, the Polskie LNG company, said in December that the facility would be expanded to increase its capacity from 5 billion to 7.5 billion cubic metres of LNG annually.
