Orlen CEO Daniel Obajtek was on Thursday quoted by the Reuters news agency as saying that the company is “[…] at the stage of carrying out environmental studies and wind tests [...] By 2024 we should have finished the preparatory stage. We plan to start investment in 2024.”

The power capacity of the wind farm may reach up to 1,200 megawatts, according to public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency.

Britain’s Hornsea Wind Farm is currently the world’s largest offshore wind farm at 1,200 megawatts of wind power capacity.
