Poland profits from EU membership: report

Poland has received some EUR 163 billion from the European Union during the 15 years it has been a member of the bloc, according to a report.

At the same time, Poland has paid around EUR 53 billion into EU coffers, the businessinsider.com website has reported, citing figures released by the finance ministry in Warsaw.
Meanwhile, Poles are among the most pro-EU nations in the bloc, which their country joined in May 2004.
Citing a Eurobarometer survey, businessinsider.com reported that 53.1 percent of Poles are positive about the European Union, higher than the EU average of 42.8 percent.
Only the citizens of Ireland, Luxembourg and Sweden are more enthusiastic.
The countries least positively inclined towards the EU are the Czech Republic (27.9 percent support) and Greece (25.3 percent), according to businessinsider.com.
