The 180,000-square-metre facility, in the Baltic seaside resort of Pobierowo in the country’s Western Pomerania region, will have 11 stories above ground and two underground.

The hotel will offer more than 1,100 spacious rooms capable of accommodating up to 2,500 guests, or more than 3,000 if extra beds are put in, Poland’s Gazeta Wyborcza newspaper has reported.

In the future, the five-star hotel will also offer a year-round ice skating rink, a marina and its own pier on the beach, according to the paper.

The project is being carried out by entrepreneur Tadeusz Gołębiewski, who runs a confectionery company called Tago and already owns four other hotels in the country: in the northeastern lakeside resort of Mikołajki, the eastern city of Białystok, and the mountain spas of Wisła and Karpacz.
