Retail sales see a shocking decline

Data released by Poland’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) saw a drop in November retail sales over last year.

Sales were 0.2 percent lower than in November 2013. Economists had forecast an increase of around two percent.
In October, year-on-year sales had increased by 2.3 percent.
Other data released by GUS on Tuesday included the official unemployment rate in November which stood at 11.4, increasing slightly over the 11.3 percent the previous month. (rg)
