Poland second in team event at Ski Jumping World Cup in Vikersund

Poland came second in the ski jumping team World Cup competition at the flying hill in Vikersund, Norway, on Saturday.

The Polish quartet of Piotr Żyła, Stefan Hula, Dawid Kubacki and Kamil Stoch amassed a total tally of 1301.7 points.

Norway won the competition, with a combined total of 1567.3 points. Slovenia came third, with 1284.0 points.

Stoch made the longest leap for the Polish team, jumping 234 metres. Norway’s Robert Johansson recorded the competition’s longest jump of 240.5 metres.

Stoch is in the lead in the Raw Air tournament, with a 55.7-point advantage over Johansson, ahead of Sunday’s individual competition, marking the final event in the Raw Air tournament. (aba)
