A special team of prosecutors nicknamed Archiwum X (“The X Files”) has been set up in Poland to probe hard-to-solve crimes, Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro said on Thursday.

Ziobro said the new team, based in the southern city of Krakow, would investigate "the most difficult cases related primarily to murders from years ago, which are extremely difficult to clear up."
Ziobro told public broadcaster Polish Radio: "These are extremely difficult matters, requiring vast experience and knowledge on the part of prosecutors and police and reaching for the latest techniques.”
He added that Polish police already had their own X-Files team, which "works very well".
