An Air Baltic flight from Radom airport, central Poland, to the Latvian capital of Riga has become the first scheduled passenger flight to leave the airport.

Poland’s 14th civilian airport was opened in May 2014 after having being converted from a military airport but has until now struggled to gain sufficient interest from airlines.

- Poles are also increasingly interested in buying unique products. According to the data provided by Akcenta, the list of top Polish import blockbusters includes: exotic reptiles and bristles or hair of wild boars, pigs, as well as badgers bought from China, the Netherlands, Spain and Germany.
