Polish company Greenway Infrastructure has just announced that it has obtained European Union subsidies, and the company now plans to build the largest network of charging stations in Poland.

The aim of the company is to build the chargers alongside Poland’s major road infrastructure, in an attempt to make electric vehicles more popular among Poles.

Last year, the Polish government announced it will offer tax and other incentives to owners of electric vehicles, in a bid to have one million electric cars on the country’s roads by 2025. Poland is seeking to cut carbon emissions from transport. (tf/rg)
