Monday's victory sets Radwanska up for her third quarter-final on the grass courts at Wimbledon, although the current No. 3 seed has yet to reach the semis at the London event.
Giorgi had not lost a single set in the tournament thus far, but things started badly for the 20-year-old Italian, losing the opening game of the match on her own serve.
The Italian's performance was littered with unforced errors in her service games, and Radwanska gave little room for manoeuvre, winning the first set 6-2.
Things looked like going exactly the same way in the second set, with Radwanska swiftly finding herself serving for the match at 5-2.
Yet a poor service game for the Pole briefly provided a flicker of hope for Giorgi.
Stung by the slip-up, Radwanska bounced back in the following game, breaking Giorgi's serve once again and taking the match.
The 23-year-old will now play either Russian Maria Kirilenko (No. 17 seed) or Chinese hopeful Shuai Peng (No. 30 seed).
Her third appearanceat a Wimbledon quarter-final now confirmed, will it be third time lucky for the Cracovian. All will soon be revealed. (nh)
