The Polish-Philippine combo defeated home players James Blake and Mardy Fish in straight sets 7-5, 6-2, moving one step closer to the trophy.

Having entered the doubles event unseeded, the pair has so far proved the surprise success story of the tournament.

Janowicz is currently ranked World No. 24 in the ATP World Tour Singles Rankings, and he was knocked out in the third round of the Indian Wells singles by Frenchman Richard Gasquet.

The 22-year-old and his partner Huey will play the winner of the quarter-final clash of Great Britain's Colin Fleming and Australia's Paul Hanley with Austria's Alexander Peya and Brazil's Bruno Soares. (nh)
