Germany and Poland play out bore-draw in Hamburg

Poland have now gone 18 games without a win over Germany after the two sides played out a dull 0 – 0 draw in the friendly match in Hamburg on Tuesday night.

Due to the German Cup Final at the weekend between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, both coaches fielded weakened teams for a match which saw few chances for either side.

German coach Joachim Loew put out eight débutantes for the friendly, which is part of Germany’s warm up for the Brazil world Cup finals.

The match for Poland, who failed to qualify for the World Cup, used the match as part of their preparations for the Euro 20156 qualifiers, which begin in September. (pg)
