The 22 year-old, who rides for the ZKŻ Zielona Góra club, was first tested positive for taking the banned metyloheksanamina after a match with Gorzow Wielkopolski on 22 June, with results of his 'B' sample released on Thursday.

"The analysis of the B sample has confirmed the 'A' sample positive doping test result. The test result is definitive,” the Polish Speedway Association says in a statement.

Metyloheksanamina, which can act as a stimulant, is found in some dietary supplement but is a banned substance.

“It's a substance banned by the World Doping Authority,” Michał Rynkowski of the Commission on Doping in Sport told Polish Radio, adding that even if Dudek unknowingly ingested the substance in a supplement it was still his fault.

Dudek, a former under-21 and under-19 European champion speedway rider, will know his fate next week after the sports authority meets with his club. (pg)
