Poland has jumped 26 places in FIFA's world ranking after their 2 – 0 victory over world champions Germany and a draw with Scotland in European championship qualifiers.

Poland have climbed from a lowly 70th to a respectable 44th place in the ranking table by the world football governing body.
Germany, despite the loss to Poland – the first in the history of matches between the two sides - remain in top position, however, with Zimbabwe at the bottom of the world table.
Poland's next match is a Group D Euro 2016 qualifier against Georgia, in Tbilisi on 14 November.
The Poles currently top Group D with seven points after three matches. (pg)
