It has been reported that English Premier League side Arsenal has signed 16-year-old Legia Warszawa wunderkind Krystian Bielik.

According to The Daily Star, which described Bielik as ''one of the hottest young midfielders on the planet,'' Arsenal has offered the youngster GBP 2000 per week.

Until now, he has been earning the equivalent of GBP 500 with Legia Warszawa, meaning that the deal would quadruple his salary.

The Gunners, as the London side is nicknamed, apparently want Bielik to make the switch as early as January 2015.

However, the hotshot's parents are apparently keener for him to wait until the summer.

The Daily Star reports that Arsenal has invited Bielik's parents to watch the Boxing Day (26 December) match against fellow London side Queens Park Rangers.

The club has ''already shown them round the club's facilities and the pair have been impressed with what they've seen,'' the paper reports.

If Bielik makes the transfer he will join fellow Pole Wojciech Szczesny, current Arsenal goalie. (nh)
