Poland beat Russia 25-24 in a dramatic third fixture of the 24th World Men’s Handball Championships in Qatar.

''Both teams put all their hearts into it,'' commented Polish player Bartosz Jurecki.
''Each side wanted to win, and that's why it was so tense.
''There were a couple of mistakes from our side, but what counts is the final result.''
Poland's next match will be against Saudi Arabia on 22 January. (nh)
