Radwańska beat American Varvara Lepchenko 6-0, 7-5 in the third round.

The 25-year old Kraków native will face sixth seed American Venus Williams in the next round.

“Whether or not the hiring of Martina Navratilova last month as a coach is responsible for [Radwańska's] new-found ruthlessness, she is in superb touch for a quarter-final qualifier on Monday,” wrote the UK's Guardian.

The Australian Open tennis tournament runs until 1 February 2015. (rg)
