Sole Pole in NBA advances to 4th in field-goal percentage

The Polish centre for the US professional basketball team Washington Wizards, Marcin Gortat took the fourth spot in the all-NBA field-goal percentage ranking after a successful match on Wednesday.
The seven-foot Gortat scored 23 points against Philadelphia 76ers, one of the weakest teams in professional basketball, making ten of 11 field attempts and grabbed 14 rebounds. The match was his 20th double-double this season.
The sole Pole in the NBA now has field-goal percentage of 56.1, trailing only DeAndre Jordan of LA Clippers with 70.7 percent and Amir Johnson and Jonas Valanciunas (both of Toronto Raptors) – with 57.1 and 57.0 respectively.
The 31-year-old averages 11.9 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. (an)
