Polish football chief plans Paris tribute for Czech friendly

Zbigniew Boniek, the head of the Polish Football Association (PZPN), has planned a series of tributes for Tuesday's Polish-Czech friendly in Wrocław, in the wake of Friday's IS attacks in Paris.

Several European sides are due to play friendlies on Tuesday in the lead up to Euro 2016, which is being hosted in France.
“I have a request, let there be a real minute of silence, without applause and cheers,” Boniek said in an appeal to fans.
“Let the Wroclaw stadium come to a standstill for a minute.”
Besides the Polish and Czech anthems, "La Marseillaise" will also be played, and the footballers themselves will don black armbands.
Three explosions took place near France's national stadium the Stade de France on Friday. The arena is due to host the opening and closing matches of Euro 2016.
“I do not see the possibility or need for Euro 2016 to be moved to another country,” Boniek said.
“If there is a situation that threatens the Euro in France, UEFA will decide,” he added.
Poland has already qualified for the tournament, coming second in Group D behind Germany. (nh/rk)
