The top ten spots remain unchanged. Belgium is at no. 1, followed by Argentina and Spain.

The Polish squad is the lowest ranked among teams in group C at this year’s Euro 2016 championships in France. Germany was ranked at no.4, Ukraine at 29 and Northern Ireland at 30.

The Polish team’s win against the Republic of Ireland in October secured the squad a place in the 24-team competition in France.

The Poles' first match will be on 12 June against Northern Ireland.

The chairman of the Polish Football Association, Zbigniew Boniek, has told daily Super Express that it would be a “a huge disappointment" for fans if Poland does not advance from Group C.

FIFA’s next ranking is due to be published on 4 February. (pk)
