“The Polish team have big potential and they can beat every team,” said the Polish Handball Association’s marketing director, Marcin Herra.
Polish player Kamil Syprzak said the first game will be the most important to win, adding that the white-and-red-team is counting on support from their fans.
Poland will play in the southern city of Kraków as part of Group A.
The southern city of Katowice (group B) and Wrocław in the southwest (group C), along with the northern city of Gdańsk (group D), will also host matches.
Poland will play Serbia on Friday at 8:30 pm CET, Macedonia on Sunday, and the current champions, France, on Tuesday. (ua/pk)
