Football: Poland to play Netherlands, Lithuania ahead of Euro 2016

Poland will take on the Netherlands in a friendly on June 1 and play Lithuania on June 6, in their last test ahead of the Euro 2016 championships in France.

The match against the Netherlands, who in 2014 finished third in the World Cup in Brazil, will take place in the northern Polish city of Gdańsk.

The Polish squad, managed by Adam Nawałka, will then play a friendly with Lithuania in the southern city of Kraków.

Earlier, Poland will play Serbia in Poznań on 23 March.

In Euro 2016, the Poles will play their first game on June 12 in the southern French city of Nice against Northern Ireland. Poland’s rivals in Group C will include Germany and Ukraine. (pk)
