Ski jumping: six Poles in Sapporo competition

Six Poles will be taking part in the Ski Jumping World Cup in Sapporo, Japan, on Saturday.

Poland’s Dawid Kubacki came joint first in the qualifications along with Japan’s Taku Takeuchi after soaring 133 metres.
Polish Olympic champion Kamil Stoch was third, jumping 128 metres.
Maciej Kot and Stefan Hula came fifth and sixth respectively in the qualifications.
Andrzej Stękała and Klemens Murańka were the other Poles who made it through the qualifying stage.
Saturday’s competition starts at 8:30am CET. (pk)
