Despite going down in the first set, Radwańska - currently ranked third in the world – bounced back and soon had Vinci (No.10) fighting for survival.

Tennis pundits applauded both players for the quality of the clash, and Radwańska was tipped by WTA for 'Shot of the Year' for more than one action.

I'm like, 'Oh my god, that was in?'” the Polish player joked after the match.

But that's the way I play, and against Roberta, it's a lot of rallies and tricky shots and different points.

Our games are very entertaining.”

Radwańska will now face WTA No. 11 Carla Suaraz Navarro.

The Pole managed to best the Spaniard when they played in Melbourne last month. Polish fans will be keeping fingers crossed that she can repeat the result. (nh)
