Polish weightlifter wins bronze at European Championships

Joanna Łochowska has won Poland's first medal of the ongoing European Weightlifting Championships in Førde, Norway.

Łochowska took bronze in the category of contestants who weigh up to 58 kg.

She managed a snatch of 90 kg, and 114 kg in the clean and jerk, with an overall tally of 204 kg.

The Pole narrowly missed silver, with Romanian Irina-Lacramioara Lepsa finishing just one notch ahead with 205 kg.

Gold was taken by Boyanka Kostova of Azerbaijan with a considerble lead (235 kg).

During the 2012 Olympics, Łochowska competed in the 53 kg category, finishing twelfth overall.'
