Boxing: Głowacki defends WBO title

Polish boxer Krzysztof Głowacki managed to floor American opponent Steve Cunningham four times, retaining his WBO cruiserweight title, in a fight in New York on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Polish boxer defended his title by unanimous decision (116-108, 115-109, 115-109) against Cunningham (himself a two-time former IBF cruiserweight champion).

The American fell to the mat twice in the second round, and in the tenth and twelfth round. (rg/pk)
