Polish athletes to be vaccinated before Rio 2016 Olympics

The Polish Olympic contingent will be vaccinated in the course of preparations for the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

The Medical Commission of the Polish Olympic Committee published a report put together by the experts from the Polish Centre of Sports Medicine, recommending vaccinations for the Polish team.
The Poles will be vaccinated against the A and B viral hepatitis, typhoid, influenza, and yellow fever.
Recent reports have claimed there are dangerous water contamination levels in the Brazilian host city.
The XXXI Summer Olympic Games will be held in Brazil for the first time in history. The Polish sports medicine experts' report said that “good performance depends not only on the good shape of the athletes, but also on a safe trip, proper acclimatisation and good health”. (tf/rg)
