Siegemond, who is currently ranked No. 71 by WTA, has knocked out three top ten players this week, dispatching Radwańska in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

My tennis was not good enough, that's for sure today,” Radwańska said after the match, as cited by WTA.

And she was playing pretty much all in and every time she got the ball I think she had nothing to lose, so she just took the risk.

I can't complain; I had a really good start of the year, a couple of good results as you said, a couple of semi-finals and so far so good. Well, I hope I can keep going that way.”

Siegemond's victory means that the stage is set for an all German final, with the 28-year-old due to play World No. 3 Angelique Kerber, an interesting propostion for the home crowd. (nh)
