Poland to host European judo championships

Poland will host next year's European Judo Championships. The tournament will take place on 20-23 April in Warsaw, Polish Judo Association head Sławomir Kownacki said.

The Polish women's team won the gold in the European Judo Championships in Kazan, Russia, which ended on Sunday. The Polish men's team won bronze.
Poland hosted the senior European judo championships in 1994 in the northern city of Gdańsk and six years later in the southwestern city of Wrocław. (pk)
