Although training is in the pipeline, the camp also provides an opportunity to recharge after the league season.

“I'd like to stress that our training will be individualised, and not every player will have to work with the same intensity,” said coach Adam Nawalka.

This is due to differences players have had with their clubs in [recent] matches and training,” he added.

Players are accompanied by wives, partners and sometimes children at the camp.

The fact that the players' nearest and dearest are at the camp has a positive impact on the whole team,” enthused squad director Tomasz Iwan.

The bonding between the players will be more family-like,” he said.

Poland's first EURO 2016 clash is scheduled for 12 June in Nice, against Northern Ireland, a fellow member of Group C. Other sides in Poland's group are Germany and Ukraine. (nh)
