The Poles, playing at home in the southern city of Kraków, took the game to the Lithuanians and had a string of scoring chances but luck - and precision finishing - eluded them.

Last week Poland lost 1:2 to the Netherlands in another friendly, a defeat which put a damper on Polish fans' hopes for the upcoming championships in France.

Poland's first Euro 2016 fixture is against Northern Ireland in the southern French city of Nice on 12 June.

Poland will also face Germany and Ukraine in the group stage of the tournament, which kicks off on 10 June and runs until 10 July. (pk)
