Poland’s Włodarczyk wins in Hungary

Poland’s top hammer thrower, Anita Włodarczyk, took the gold at an international athletics meet in Székesfehérvár, Hungary, on Sunday.

Włodarczyk’s throw of 78.10 metres placed her ahead of Hanna Skydan of Azerbaijan, with 71.69 metres. Betty Heidler, from Germany was third, with a result of 71.15 metres

Two other Poles took part in the competition, and both finished in the top ten. Joanna Fiodorow was ninth, throwing 68.18 metres, and Malwina Kopron was tenth with 67.23 metres.
