The finale took place on Monday in the southern city of Kraków. The last, seventh stage, an individual time trial over 25 km, was won by Britain’s Alex Dowsett from the Movistar squad.

The top-placed Pole was Paweł Cieślik from the Verva ActiveJet team, who finished 19th.

Maciej Paterski was 30th, while 2014 world champion Michał Kwiatkowski from the Sky team dropped to 34th position after the last stage.

For the first time in history, the Tour de Pologne is being followed by the Tour de Pologne Women, a three-stage race across the Tatra Mountains and the Podhale highlands in southern Poland. (pk)
