Kayak silver and bronze for Poles in Rio

Poland’s Marta Walczykiewicz has taken the silver in the women's kayak single 200 metre sprint at the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Her countrywomen Beata Mikołajczyk and Karolina Naja took bronze in the women's kayak doubles 500 metre race, repeating their feat of four years ago at the London Olympics.
Walczykiewicz, who was fifth in London, this time came second after being pipped to the post by her long-standing rival, New Zealand’s Lisa Carrington.
The medals bring Poland’s tally at Rio de Janeiro to a total of seven.
