The Polish handball squad have their eyes on their second-ever Olympic medal. In 1976 in Montreal, the Poles took bronze.

In Wednesday's match against Croatia, Poland stepped their game up a notch.

They looked a different team to the squad which two days earlier, after a poor performance, lost 20:25 against Slovenia and had to rely on a German victory against Egypt to make it into the final eight of the tournament.
