Citing the motorsport.com website, the daily writes that Kubica, the first Polish driver to compete in F1 and a Grand Prix winner, will race at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium, driving an R.S. 01 for the Duqueine Engineering Team on 24 and 25 September.

Christophe Hamon has been named as his teammate.

The Polish driver competed for Renault in Formula 1 in 2010, scoring three podiums in his season with the French manufacturer, before a rallying crash injury in 2011 in which his right forearm was partially severed, forcing him to put his F1 career on hold.

Following months of rehabilitation, he has spent the last three years largely focused on rallying, winning the WRC-2 world championships in 2013. (di/pk)
