Kenyan runner wins Warsaw Marathon

Kenyan runner Ezekial Omullo is the first runner to ever win the Warsaw marathon twice, after being the first to cross the finishing line in the Polish capital on Sunday.

He clocked a time of 2:08:55, just a few seconds away from his winning time of 2:09:19 during the 2015 marathon.

Kenyan runners dominated Sunday's race and took all the top five positions. Sixth place went to Yared Shegumo, an Ethiopian runner who competed for Poland in the recent Rio Olympics.

The first woman to end the race was Kibiwott Gladys, from Bahrain, completing the race in 02:36:34. (rg)
